Signalling major lasers

2015 was the first year Oficina was invited to design the graphical concept of Signal Festival, Prague’s festival of light art, and emerging technologies. Signal integrates light, art, urban space, architecture, and modern technology via mesmerizing installations. Every year, the festival attracts the active participation of lighting designers from both the Czech Republic and abroad.

Where did it all begin? Our initial collaboration with the festival started as a fun adaptation of Signal’s visual identity. We decided to experiment, have fun, and use lasers to form Signal’s logo and its outline. This cooperation led to what is now a core of the festival’s visual theme and launched our ongoing partnership.
