R. Firkušný Festival

Visual Identity for a Piano Festival

The Rudolf Firkušný Piano Festival is part of the Prague Spring Festival, so elements of the visual identity we developed for Prague Spring are also reflected in this sub-brand. Our aim was to maintain a visual connection between the two festivals while establishing a distinctive and easily recognizable identity.

The piano is the central motif. Notes played on its keyboard generate invisible sound impulses that set flowers in motion and bring them into bloom. The black-and-white palette references the piano keyboard, reinforces the festival’s musical focus, and gives the identity its distinctive character.

The communication campaign puts the festival founder’s name, Firkušný, at the forefront. The graphic concept draws on the idea of playing the piano and is brought to life through procedural animation.
