One day in the City for the Future

The platform’s name presents innovative solutions from Czech brands, companies and manufacturers, all united by their ability to create services and products for a better life in cities. The ambitious project was introduced as part of EXPO Dubai 2020. A live website was created to bring updates on the life of each project.

Our assignment had two parts.
The production of a comprehensive explainer video. It presents the futuristic city, which, thanks to 32 companies, facilitates and enhances the quality of human life in 2050.
We have also prepared a microsite for the project, which presents each company briefly through a touch screen.

The story? Day in the life of a person in a fictional near-future city.

The biggest challenge was to build a story that was engagingly cohesive but also incorporated a variety of clever solutions.

It presents the futuristic city, which, thanks to 32 companies, facilitates and enhances the quality of human life in 2050.

The project's visual style reduces the descriptiveness of the 3D environment based on what is vital to the viewer.

The essential objects are more elaborate – making it easier for the viewer to recognize the clever installations and making the complementary infographics stand out. For the latter, we have prepared a set of pictograms that illustrate the objects’ functions. The result is a complex graphic legend that makes the film more accessible to understand, even without subtitles.
The pictogram stylization of the main character matches the chosen visual language – it becomes a link between 3D and 2D styles.
